Gold-polished silver

Gold polish (16-18 carat plating) on 925 silver lasts up to 2 years with personal, careful use. Wear life depends on skin chemistry, sweat and how often the piece is worn. Put it on last, after perfume, lotion and hair products, and take it off before bathing, swimming, workouts and cleaning.

Storing

Keep each piece dry in the pouch or box it came in, away from other jewellery so nothing scratches. A small anti-tarnish strip in the box helps silver stay bright.

Cleaning silver

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing. For tarnish on solid 925 silver, use a silver polishing cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, and never scrub gold-polished pieces, as this wears the plating.

Cleaning gold and diamonds

Soak gold and diamond pieces briefly in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, brush gently with a soft brush and pat dry. Have prongs and settings checked at our showroom once a year.

Avoid

Chlorine, bleach, perfumes, sanitiser, salt water and heavy sweat. These speed up tarnish and wear down plating.
